Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak, who is one of the two candidates vying to become the new leader of the Conservative Party in the UK and the prime minister of the country, said, “I am the only one who can beat the Labor Party. I am the only candidate who can keep the Union and Brexit safe.”
Candidates for the elections held in England To Determine The New Leader Of The Conservative Party And The Prime Minister Of The Country In The Voting Started Their Campaigns. Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak , who competed with Foreign Minister Liz Truss , argued that he was the best candidate to become the leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister. “Today my campaign begins with party members and my campaign represents the best of conservative values. I will work hard to win every vote,” Sunak said.
“I AM THE ONLY CANDIDATE WHO CAN KEEP THE UNITY AND BREXIT SAFE”
Sunak said that the Conservative Party should change in order to prevent the Labor Party from being elected in the next general election, adding, “If the Labor Party comes to the government in 2024, the promises made will mean nothing. Therefore, all the evidence is there, it will be able to defeat the Labor Party. “I am the only one. I am the only candidate who can keep the Union and Brexit safe.”
“During the few years I spent in government, I saw that his system was broken”
Emphasizing that the party should change along with conservative values, Sunak said, “During the few years I spent in government, although this place was full of decent and hardworking people, I saw that the system was broken. Conservatives believe in honesty, duty and loyalty. These are conservative values and my values. As your prime minister, I have these values. “I’ll turn it into action for you. If we’re going to keep the promise of Brexit, then we’re going to need someone who really understands Brexit, believes in it and votes for it.”
“WE WILL SPEAK THE TRUTH, WHATEVER THE COST”
Expressing that it is necessary to be honest with the people about the current situation of the country, Sunak said, “We have national emergencies to deal with and we need to tell the truth about these issues. That’s why we will tell the truth no matter the cost, because it is necessary for real change.”
“WE WILL BE HARDER ON MIGRATION”
Noting that he plans to be tougher on illegal immigration, Sunak said, “The truth about immigration is that our system is still not functioning. It is a fact that criminal gangs still trade illegal immigrants to this country and exploit the gaps in the legal system. We must be tougher and uncompromising.”
MORE TAX DISCOUNTS AGAINST INFLATION
Noting that he will make more tax cuts in the face of rising inflation, Sunak said, “I will offer a lower tax economy and I will make realistic tax cuts. We must be radical. We must change, because if we do not, we cannot rebuild our economy. We must change, because if we do not change, Brexit will not be safe.”
