Sony has confirmed that to switch from the PS4 to the PS5 version of God of War: Ragnarok, an extra 10 euros will have to be paid.
The PS5 upgrade of God of War: Ragnarök will be paid. The confirmation comes directly from the post published yesterday on the PlayStation Blog to announce the release date of the game, which clearly reads:
By purchasing the God of War Ragnarök Standard Edition for PlayStation 4, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for $ 10 USD (or currency equivalent).
To switch from the PS4 version to the PS5 version of God of War: Ragnarök, you will have to pay an extra 10 euros. So those who buy the PS4 version of God of War: Ragnarok at a cost of 70 euros, will have to add another 10 euros to upgrade to the PS5 version, which costs 80 euros.
It is important to specify, however, that the paid upgrade will only apply to the standard version of the game. All other editions of the title will contain both versions of Ragnarök for free. As for the various editions of God of War Ragnarök, we remind you that the game will be launched in launch (standard), digital deluxe, Collector’s and Jotnar edition.
Before leaving, we remind you that God of War: Ragnarök will be available starting November 9, 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
