Via a tweet, Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us Part 1 has officially entered the gold phase. This means that the work on the game is finished and that the title is therefore ready to be published.

We are thrilled to announce that The Last of Us Part 1 has entered the gold phase, ”the team announced on Twitter. “Congratulations to the Dogs and our PlayStation partners who have contributed with passion and talent to the growth of the world of The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog’s announcement therefore confirms that the title will not be delayed and that it will arrive as in stores, as announced, on September 2, 2022. Announced with a trailer for Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, The Last of Us Part 1 will exploit all the power of the next generation Sony console to re-propose the adventures of Joel and Ellie in the final version.

In the last few hours, Naughty Dog has revealed that it will soon reveal new information on the graphics and gameplay of the game. Given that there is about a month and a half before the game is released, it is likely that the game will return to show itself at Gamescom 2022, the videogame event scheduled from 24 to 28 August. It is not said, however, that the team does not decide to return to talk about it already in a few weeks with insights on the PS Blog or other short teasers.

We remind you that the remake of The Last of Us will arrive on PS5 and later also on PC. The game will have modernized gameplay , enhanced graphics effects, improved controls, expanded accessibility options and will include the Left Behind DLC.
