Facebook implements the new content feed

Mark Zuckerberg posted a short demo of the feature on Thursday, stating that it is one of the most requested features on Facebook , these are the words of the CEO:

One of the most requested features for Facebook is making sure people don’t miss friends’ posts. So today we’re launching a Feed tab where you can see your friends’ posts, groups, Pages, and more separately in chronological order. The app will still open with a custom feed on the Home tab, where our detection engine will recommend the content we think will interest you the most. But the Feed tab will give you a way to further customize and control your experience.

In addition, people will be able to create a Favorites list within the Feed tab , consisting of friends, pages and groups, to access their favorite content more easily and quickly. This change is similar to what Meta did with Instagram – the company announced a chronological feed in January and launched the feature a couple of weeks later.

The new Feed tab in Facebook is already available for some users on Android and iOS , there is a slight difference between the two operating systems: on Android the tab is at the top of the user interface, while on iOS it is at the bottom. The filling implementation is expected to take place over the next week.
