Tesla reopens the pre-orders of the Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid also in Italy

Tesla has reopened the pre-orders of the Tesla Model S and Model X Plaid also in Italy. Both cars are already back available on Tesla’s online configurator. But we will still have to wait a bit: the first deliveries are expected between December 2022 and February 2023.

The situation of Tesla’s supply chain is slowly returning to a semi-normal situation, net of the limits imposed by the current unfavorable economic situation. This means that the manufacturer can finally revoke some of the drastic measures introduced over the past few months. Including the closure of pre-orders for some of its flagship cars.

Tesla had explained over and over again that he did not have a problem of ‘demand’ but of supply. Translated: Tesla at present is not yet able to keep up with market demands. This results in serious delays in the delivery times of the cars. The waiting list was now becoming Biblical in proportions.

To overcome this problem, Tesla had closed the pre-orders of the new Model S and Model X almost everywhere except in the USA, so as to be able to concentrate on the production of the Tesla Model 3 and especially Model Y. For the same reasons, Tesla has also temporarily closed pre-orders of the Tesla Cybertruck – which has yet to go into production.
