8 people were killed and 3 people were injured in an armed attack carried out by the terrorist organization DAESH on a village in Diyala, Iraq.
Governor of Halis District of Diyala, Uday al-Hadran, said in a statement to the press that DAESH terrorists attacked the village of Albu Bali in the district from three different branches.
Hadran noted that 8 people were killed and 3 injured in the armed attack.
Noting that the injured were taken to the surrounding hospitals, Hadran said that an operation was launched in the region to catch the terrorists.
The terrorist organization DEASH seized all of Iraq’s Mosul, Salahaddin and Anbar provinces in 2014, as well as some of Diyala and Kirkuk provinces, and these regions were taken back from the organization over the years. Former Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced that victory against DAESH was won on December 9, 2017. Despite 5 years after this statement, the organization’s attacks continue in the rural areas of these provinces.
