Bayonetta, the next episode of the saga will be dedicated to beginners

The Bayonetta saga will continue and, in a recent message, Hideki Kamiya explained that the new chapter will be for beginners.

The Bayonetta saga was a cult hit for Platinum Games , but never a real sales success in its history.

So much so that the story of the second chapter is strongly linked to Nintendo , which saved it in the Wii U era and then took it with us into the Switch era (and you can find it on Amazon ).

A partnership that culminated with the amazing Bayonetta 3 , the conclusion of a trilogy that we told you about in our review.

A franchise that, with some surprise, will continue to tell the story of Cereza and her allies and enemies with a new episode, recently announced.

Bayonetta, the next episode of the saga will be dedicated to beginners

A title that has shown itself and is something very different from what fans of the saga expected.

Precisely for this Hideki Kamiya has returned to talk about it in a post on the official website of Platinum Games.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is in fact a production at the antipodes to the frenetic, stylish and adrenaline-pumping action series that the Japanese team has always proposed.

“I think many of our fans were caught off guard ,” Kamiya begins, delving into the details of this curious production.

Bayonetta Origins is billed as something very new for Platinum Games, and will be made by a team of “ambitious young developers with only a few veterans to help them” , a real baptism of fire.

If the aesthetic style, as well as the little gameplay that we have seen, portends an adventure with a much more staid and calm pace, Hideki Kamiya will take care of explaining the production objective well:

“We created Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon with the hope that fans of the series to this day enjoy this unique take on their favorite badass heroine, and also strive to deliver an unforgettable experience to gamers who may not feel right at home. comfortable with action games… or even gamers who aren’t familiar with the Bayonetta series in the first place!»

We are very curious to know more, because the title looks like a very inspired production and it will be interesting to explore the franchise in various ways.

That said, Kamiya also said he would never want to “betray” players’ trust with upcoming games, which won’t just be sequels.

Looking forward to an eventual Bayonetta 4 , which Kamiya himself has already mentioned once.

The success of the third chapter has undoubtedly influenced this perception even if, unfortunately, the release of the game was also accompanied by a truly grotesque controversy born from the voice actress.
