With its new update, Twitter has started to show tweet view counts directly above the posts. Elon Musk first announced on December 1 that the number of views will appear in the posts, just like in the videos. A few weeks after this statement, with a tweet by Elon Musk, it was certain that the feature in question would be published in a few weeks.
As a matter of fact, it is possible to access the number of views for your account for a long time thanks to the Twitter analytics feature. However, this new change allows you to clearly see the number of views without pressing any analysis button.
Currently, users can easily access the number of views for their own account only. However, Elon Musk’s use of the phrase “just like in videos” shows that the feature may be available for other accounts in the near future.
Twitter, which has recently come to the fore with its different features and Twitter Blue confusion , may be trying to highlight the high interaction and access on the platform by bringing transparency to the number of views.
