Air Nostrum has transported its 100 millionth passenger aboard one of its many operated aircraft. Over 2.4 million flights are operated by the carrier.
Air Nostrum crosses the milestone of 100 million passengers.
The first flight of the Spanish airline Air Nostrum was in 1994, the destination Valencia – Bilbao. More than 2.4 million flights were operated by the carrier in 28 years. On December 1 of this year, the airline carried its 100 millionth passenger aboard one of its many operated aircraft.
This milestone was celebrated with a specific aircraft . A CRJ1000 and has the serial number EC-MSB. The aircraft has the “100 million pasajeros” sticker . The 100 millionth passenger was José Carlos Castilla on flight IB8391 between Seville and Valencia. Carlos Bertomeu, president of Air Nostrum, presented Castilla with the prize of 100 tickets for him and his family. Also present was the new director of Valencia airport, Antonio García Aparicio.
The celebration of this important milestone of 100 million passengers had already begun during the flight between Seville and Valencia. The crew presented Castilla with a bouquet of flowers, while all guests were offered a glass of sparkling wine. Everyone toasted the anniversary and the honor José Carlos Castilla had for being the 100 millionth passenger on board such a prestigious airline. Not all airlines manage to achieve this goal!
