Global steel production decreased by 2.6 percent to 139.1 million tons in November compared to the same period last year. Turkey’s crude steel production, on the other hand, decreased by 30.7 percent to 2.4 million tons in November compared to the same period of the previous year.

Accordingly, global production decreased by 2.6 percent to 139.1 million tons in November compared to the same period of 2021.
In the said period, the production of China, the world’s largest steel producer, increased by 7.3 percent to 74.5 million tons.
Japan’s production decreased by 10.7 percent to 7.2 million tons, Germany’s production decreased by 17.9 percent to 2.8 million tons, and the USA’s production decreased by 10.5 percent to 6.4 million tons.
on the other hand, decreased by 30.7 percent to 2.4 million tons in November compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the said period, it is estimated that steel production decreased by 9.6 percent to 5.6 million tons in Russia and increased by 3.9 percent to 2.9 million tons in Iran.
Meanwhile, in January-November 2022, global crude steel production decreased by 3.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, to 1 billion 691 million tons.
