Research has shown that people who have lots of different microbes have better health and a better diet than those who don’t have much bacterial diversity.

The expert and his team compared a snack of 28 grams of peanuts per day and a snack with higher carbohydrates. After six weeks, those who ate peanuts had more bacteria linked to healthier liver metabolism . By studying herbs and spices, the researchers analyzed what impact adding them had to the participants’ diets. They looked at three doses. About 1/8 teaspoon a day, a little over 3/4 teaspoon a day, and about 1 1/2 teaspoon a day.
After 4 weeks, the participants reported an increase in the diversity of gut bacteria , particularly in those who ate more herbs and spices. One way to reduce sodium in the diet and make foods tastier. Scholars are still looking for the link between gut microbiota and health factors. More research will be needed, but in the meantime we can find the healthiest diet that’s right for us!
