The Kit 2.0 project for home assistance and monitoring of cancer patients was born at Gemelli. The most serious situations are identified.
The Gemelli Irccs Polyclinic Foundation has created the Kit 2.0 project for home assistance and monitoring of cancer patients . An assistance network that takes advantage of telemedicine and mobile applications allowing you to follow the patient from home. Identify the most serious situations and acquire information, otherwise not easy to find, but very useful. Kit 2.0 was created with tools for patients in three different areas of intervention:
- (www.gemelliart.it) the radiotherapy information portal of the Gemelli Polyclinic
- the ChatBot service, an automatic instant messaging system to facilitate patient-hospital communication
- the Kit app with dedicated questionnaires and image capture tools for patient management during and after therapy
From his home the patient can communicate with the doctor. The latter with a personal smartwatch connected to the app checks heartbeats, steps, activities, calories and photos of the area to be examined.
The data collected through the use of KIT 2.0 technology will be integrated and processed by a learning machine which, through an artificial intelligence system, will allow the radiation oncologist to intercept any critical issues in the treatment path of the individual patient and above all will allow for personalized intervention on the therapy for each patient.
