Inflation expected to peak in Poland

Deputy Finance Minister Piotr Patkowski said that he expects inflation to peak in Poland and that inflation will reach 19-20 percent in February 2023.

Patkowski, speaking to a local radio, stated that they expect inflation to decrease gradually after February.


They expect to reach peak numbers

Stating that they do not expect a recession next year, Patkowski said, “Inflation in Poland will peak at 19-20 percent in February. It is difficult to say whether it will be 20 percent right now. According to our Ministry, there is an expectation of 19-20 percent for now.” used the phrases.

Poland’s 2023 budget is based on the assumption of 1.7 percent GDP growth and 9.8 percent average annual inflation.
