According to new rumors, Apple has canceled the iPhone SE 4, the new iteration of its line of entry-level smartphones. Only a few months ago some interesting rumors emerged, that suggested that the next SE 4 would have substantially taken up the design of the iPhone XR (no frames and no physical button).

According to well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has actually decided to cancel production of the smartphone, originally set for 2024. At present, the analyst explains, it is not clear whether Apple has decided to cancel the project completely or if on the contrary, it is a postponement to the following year.

The decision would have been taken recently, based on the poor sales performance of medium and medium-high range iPhones. As we have seen several times, the bulk of demand is concentrated on high-end models, i.e. the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max (which is why, unlike the other models, they cannot be found in Apple Stores and waiting times are still very long).

The low demand would not only concern the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, but also the cheaper models, such as the iPhone 13 Mini and the iPhone SE 3, both with almost completely negligible sales volumes for a giant like Apple.

Clearly it is good to keep in mind that these are rumors, which could easily be denied by the facts over the next year.
