Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) had the windows and frames of Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv University in Ukraine’s capital Kiev, damaged by Russian missile attacks, fitted.
According to the statement made by TIKA, the damaged glass and frames of the university located in the center of Kiev were repaired.
Turkey’s Ambassador to Kyiv Yağmur Ahmet Güldere, university rector Volodimir Bugrov, TIKA Kyiv Coordinator Cüneyt Esmer, students, journalists and other guests attended the ceremony held at the university.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bugrov reminded that the glass and frames of the university were damaged as a result of the Russian attacks.
Bugrov thanked the Turkish government and people, stating that the glass and frames were renewed with Turkey’s support before the winter came.
Noting that Turkey is a true friend, Bugrov said, “I would like to thank the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has the honorary doctorate title of our university.” said.
“We are carrying out different aid projects in Ukraine”
Ambassador Güldere, on the other hand, said that since the beginning of the war on February 24, Turkey has continued to carry out aid projects in various fields in Ukraine.
Noting that more than 100 aid trucks have come to Ukraine from Turkey since the beginning of the war, Güldere said, “In addition to these, we are implementing different projects within the framework of the demands we received.”
Güldere said, “We respond to the equipment demands of kindergartens. We provide generator assistance. In the past two weeks, we have provided 180 generator support to the Ukrainian people.”
